This classic Persian Isfahan rug is hand-knotted with a wool pile on a silk foundation, exemplifying the finesse and precision associated with Isfahan’s renowned weaving tradition. A deep, elegant blue field surrounds a traditional central medallion and is bordered by a wide beige band, framed in turn by two slimmer blue guard borders. The surface is richly adorned with fine floral motifs in harmonious tones of blue, gold, terracotta, and red, creating depth, movement, and a refined sense of balance. A beautifully composed piece that reflects both artistry and timeless elegance.
