Persian Kashan, 140 x 230 cm

Newly cleaned and in excellent, like-new condition, this Persian Kashan is handknotted in wool on a cotton foundation and features the traditional Kashan medallion design. A rich red field and broad dark blue border frame an intricate network of finely executed floral motifs. The colors are beautifully clear and balanced, enhancing the crisp definition of the pattern. A superb example of classic Kashan weaving, it showcases both precision of detail and harmony of color.
