Persian kilim – 92 × 140 cm Handwoven wool on cotton · Newly cleaned A beautiful older Persian kilim with a rich palette softened by time and light. Dusty rose and muted madder red form the central field, where three hooked diamond medallions combine delicate shades of seafoam green, pale turquoise, lavender and smoky blue.
The outer border provides a striking contrast in deep brown and charcoal, with colourful pinwheel rosettes and subtle variations in the dark wool. Stepped outlines give the design its distinctive rhythm, while short cream fringes finish both ends.
